We are looking for a 4-month term Programming Co-op to integrate into our development team to help us build fantastic experiences for players. In the short term, this means helping us bring Circuit Superstars to its full release on PC and consoles. In the long term, this means helping with post-launch support for Circuit Superstars as well as working on future games.
Our team is small, and as a result, our roles are broad. As a programming co-op, you will:
Collaborate with the team to design, prototype, implement, and polish gameplay systems and their associated UI.
Receive mentorship and guidance on the design and implementation of systems which run the game and assist our workflows.
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working with Unity.
Has a keen interest in developing a career in game development.
Is curious, driven, collaborative, and kind.
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Loves games and game development.
We'll be extra impressed if you either:
Have experience or interest in developing racing games.
Have experience developing your own games. We would love to hear about whether you have done game jams or school projects.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada, or currently in Canada on a work permit/visa. This is a remote position: we are currently working remotely and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
Our team goals are aligned with the games we make: we believe work should bring us satisfaction and opportunities for growth and self-expression. We believe in self-managing teams empowered with trust and autonomy. As a team member at Original Fire Games, you will be part of strategizing, planning and executing the development of the game. More importantly, you will be part of a team in which people care about and support each other.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please email your application to the email here:
