Full Time - 1 Year Contract

We are looking for a Game Programmer to join our Vancouver-based team. This position is for a 4 day work week, Monday to Thursday.

Original Fire Games is an independent studio dedicated to distilling the thrill and beauty of racing into arcade motorsport experiences. Our game development culture is collaborative, conversational and calm. We work closely while also trusting each other with independence over our work. In a nutshell, we are a small team of talented individuals who love the process of making games.

Requirements to Apply

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Online portfolio that showcases your experience
- Your legal residence is in British Columbia, Canada

What we’re looking for

- 3 years of professional experience working in video games
- Ability to convey ideas, solutions and feedback effectively and with consideration of who you are sharing with
- Collaborative, sociable and curious personality
- Passionate about the process of making games

Some preference will be given to candidates that

- Live in Vancouver and are willing to collaborate in person several times a month
- Have experience working in small teams

About your employment

- This position offers extended health care and paid vacation time. 

- The pay is 130k CAD annual salary.

- 4 day work week (Mon-Thurs)
